Gloucester MP Parmjit Dhanda this month joins Tony Robinson and Ruth Turner as a vice chair of Progress. We’ve also appointed a new patron, Andy Burnham, MP for Leigh. Both Burnham and Dhanda became MPs at the last general election. Commenting on his appointment, Dhanda said: ‘I am delighted to have been appointed as a vice chair of Progress. Progress is playing an exciting and dynamic role to help shape the way forward for centre-left politics. I am looking forward to working with the staff, contributors, politicians and others to help Progress play an even bigger role in our future.’
