Its all over after weeks of very hard work. Although we doubled our vote we hardly dented the Tories majority where I stood. One lesson – Tories don’t desert the fold even if there’s a whole raft of pertinant issues. In the two seats we hold – the only Labour group in Surrey we upped our majority by 200. One consulation- the Lib Dems were wiped out here comp[letely. We are the opposition.
41% turnout by 5pm in Western Parishes in Stockton – looks like our local midwife culd put paid to the Tory….hurrah
