Progress caught up with David Rowntree campaigning on a sunny Saturday morning in Pimlico. The Blur drummer talked about the difficulties of campaigning in the shadow of Shirley Porter’s gerrymandering and against an intransigent Tory council, as well as how he has managed to energise the local party in this traditionally strong Conservative seat.
