I can only speak for myself and on my own area of interest which is crime and especially antisocial behaviour but I sincerely hope that at the next election this lot will be wandering back into the wilderness and that hopefully it will be for a lot longer than their previous 4000 days.

Although Dave (are we still being asked to call him that?) speaks with clear and precise repetitive optimism, as no doubt the wonderful media will be saying he did, he never comes across as speaking with the intelligence of what reality is. Apart from when he was right to say our problems aren’t all related to Labour I worry his deliberate intention to cut and dismantle under the guise of giving ‘power to the people’ will be far-reaching and instead of curing problems will actually create more.

Dave’s big society already exists – for example, his neighbourhood meetings with police are called Policing and Communities Together and I personally feel that, a bit like Theresa May’s deluded opinion on antisocial behaviour orders, that he feels that instead of actually looking at problems and dealing with why so many things are failing he feels that simply making big noises, rebranding and not forgetting cutting the so-called dead wood is the answer.

It’s not and not only will it not work, it’s not radical and it’s an extremely dangerous concept to have.
