Best backbencher? Alan Whitehead’s question about whether the PM was going to support the Committee on Climate Change’s recommendations for the fourth climate budget, of course. The PM’s answer was shockingly non-committal for someone wanting to be the greenest government ever.

Best comment? Robert Halfon’s sincere attempt to compare the Conservative-led government to Robin Hood. Bless.

Although not strictly a comment, also worthy of mention was Nick Clegg’s ‘look’ throughout. Laying his head back against the green benches and smiling gently as he listened to David Cameron, he reminded me of Olivia Newton John wistfully singing ‘Hopelessly Devoted’ in Grease. Which is nice. And of course very businesslike.
