Progress is launching a bit of fun for you all in the run up to the announcement of Gordon Brown’s new Cabinet on potentially 28 June – a competition to see who gets closest to both the members of Cabinet and their respective roles. (People emailing from [email protected] will be excluded…) A bottle of champagne will be awarded to the person who gets closest to the final Cabinet line-up.

In the event of a tie-break, we are asking people to nominate one unexpected person who you thinks deserves to be in a Gordon Brown Cabinet of ‘all the talents’. Progress staff will make a judgement on the basis of wittiness or whether the person nominated is genuinely talented, so no bias there…

To submit your line-up please email Progress at [email protected] listing your Cabinet positions with names, your idea for the tie-break question, your name, address and contact telephone, with the words ‘Cabinet competition’ in the email title. Current Cabinet roles are listed underneath, but remember some of them might change – if we will be looking for winning entries to get as close to the new Departmental role as possible. The winning entry and the runners up will be posted on the website.
